April Wrap-Up!!

How has another month gone by? It’s crazy. Well last month I managed to read 6 books and my dreams of becoming a faster reader seemed to be coming true, but sadly my dreams have not come true. I’ve gone back down to 5 books this month.

Most of them were ARC’s this month. Thanks Netgalley!

So without much further ado. Let’s talk books.

First up was ‘The Choice’ by Edith Eger. This was amazing! I don’t even know what to say. I believe this book can change your life if you let. Just amazing.

Secondly was ‘Play it Again’ by Aidan Wayne. This was a contemporary YA. A queer love story. While it was very modern, this one didn’t quite do it for me. Just missed the mark. It was a quick, frothy read. (Full Review Here)

Thirdly this month was ‘The Abolitionist’s Daughter’ by Diane C McPhail. Another Netgalley book. Historical fiction. I was looking forward to this. Although it was a quick read and had some good characters. This one missed the mark also. (Full Review Here)

Fourth up this month was ‘Dear Lily’ by Drew Davies. I loved this book. It was funny, sweet, heartbreaking. It’s take on grief was brilliant. Highly recommend this one. It comes out May 17th! You can preorder now.

Lastly this month was ‘The Tubman Command’ by Elizabeth Cobbs. I was really looking forward to reading this book. It’s Historical Fiction. Very detailed. It just needed more heart. Just missed the mark. This one comes out May 7th and you can preorder now.

So, it was a bit of a mixed bag this month. But oh well, roll on May and I can read some new books. Lovely.

Until the next review
